Saving the local environment

This is a new group supported by Friends of Hoarwithy as many of our members wish to be actively involved with doing all they can to save and restore our local Environment and ‘do our bit’ towards protecting against the issues of Climate Change and the wider environmental challenges facing our homes, our communities, our country and our planet.

We are particularly interested in knowing what priorities you think we should be focussing on and how we can address issues related to Climate Change and the Environment, such as:

  • Considering environmental issues in the local area
  • Local Farming and Food
  • Flooding
  • Developing new initiatives/projects

The group is currently focusing efforts on the Climate Emergency and implementing projects and facilities to reduce the community carbon footprint of Hoarwithy. If you are interested in joining the group please contact [email protected]

As a part of our wider community, we have joined with the Kings Caple Environment Group to coordinate our efforts across the Wye Valley. https://kingscapleparishcouncil.org.uk/environment-working-group/
